Electricity is one of the most demanding resources in today’s world and electricity plays a very important role in our daily life. We all are very much considerate while using electricity because it is costly and hence wastage of electricity is not acceptable. What if we say we have got a solution for you!!! Commercial Rooftop system for small home.
What is a Rooftop System, YOU ASK?
Well, a Rooftop System is an arrangement of Solar Panels and other required technologies, that generates electricity using SOLAR ENERGY. And trust us we have lots of solar energy provided by the sun and its FREE. So why not to use solar energy and convert that into usable energy that can help us reduce the cost without affecting our environment and our pockets.
The rooftop system requires one-time installation and regular maintenance which can provide you with almost free electricity for the rest of your life. Nice product you say, but how does this work? Let’s dig in some technical details and installation criteria with some specifications,
Rooftop system aka On-grid or grid-connected PV system is an electricity generating solar PV system that is connected to the utility grid. A grid-connected PV system consists of solar panels, one or several inverters, and grid connection equipment. They range from small residential and commercial rooftop systems to large utility-scale solar power stations.
On-grid solar systems are advantageous as the electricity is utilized by the owner during the day and any surplus is supplied to the grid; some utilities pay for this surplus electricity at a reasonable rate known as a Feed-In Tariff (FIT). During the evenings, when the solar system is not generating electricity, it is drawn from the grid avoiding the need for costly battery banks.
Whenever the sun shines (and even in overcast weather), the solar cells generate electricity. The On-grid inverter converts the DC electricity produced by the solar panels, which can then be used by the property/household/industries/commercial establishment.
If a grid connects system is producing more electricity than is being consumed, the surplus is fed into the mains power grid. When the solar cells are not producing power, for example at night, power is supplied by the mains power grid as usual. As all of the components in a grid connect system has no moving parts, you can expect a long and hassle-free life from your solar power system. The capacity of the On-Grid solar power system starts from 1 KW onwards, depends on the daily use of the building.
